Lazlo's Corner
So let's talk about some benefits.
Last week we mentioned that this year's Banding Together benefit webathon for the Spondylitis Association Of America will be broadcast on BlowIpRadio.com Friday October 13th thru Sunday October 15th.
We already have a lot of artists lined up to do a 30 minute live audio performance and/or submitting a previously unreleased original song (which can include acoustic or live versions of previously released songs, remixes, etc.) for this year's compilation, but there is plenty of room for more if anyone is interested.
This will be our 16th year of doing this, and we have raised tens of thousands of dollars over the years for the Spondylitis Association Of America, and look forward to raising more until there is a cure for this debilitating disease.

Speaking of raising money, Bandcamp notified me this week that our Rock Against Hate Vols. 1 & 2 compilations has raised over five thousand dollars for The Trevor Project! I could not be more thrilled that we reached this milestone during Pride Month. The Trevor Project does great work to help the LGBTQ+ community.

Finally, in non-NJ related benefit news, I was heartbroken to find out this week that Jesse Malin suffered a rare stroke last month that has left him paralyzed from the waist down. Back in the 90's I used to see Jesse Malin's band, D Generation, play in New Jersey all the time, and over the last couple of decades I have seen him play solo and with his band a number of times.
