Lazlo's Corner

Attention musicians:

It may be June, but October is just around the corner, and this year's Banding Together Spondylitis Benefit.

Since 2006 BlowUpRadio.com has been doing this annual benefit during October & November to raise money for the Spondylitis Association Of America. As most of you know this cause is very personal to me as my wife suffers from Ankylosing Spondylitis.

There are several things we are doing this year, some live concerts, our annual compilation, and our annual webathon on BlowUpRadio.com, with all proceeds from each going directly to the Spondylitis Association of America.

Here is how you can help:

1. 2019 Banding Together compilation:

A. In order to make the compilation more sought after, I am looking for previously unreleased songs, or new live versions of songs (or exclusive remixes, etc.), that would be exclusive to the compilation until January 2019.

B. If you have performed at a previous Banding Together webathon/concert I am considering doing two compilations, one compilation just of live recordings from previous Banding Together events. If you like the way you sounded on an original song you performed at a previous webathon, let me know and I would be happy to use it on the compilation.

I will need all songs no later than September 1st, as the compilation will be coming out in early October.

2. From Friday October 18th thru Sunday October 20th we will be doing our annual Banding Together Webathon, with acts performing acoustically on BlowUpRadio.com, live from our basement. For those of you who have done this before you already know how much these are, for those who have not, there is a party atmosphere where acoustic acts play 30 minute sets, and there will be plenty of food (donated by local restaurants) & drinks.

If you are interested in performing acoustically during the webathon, please let me know, and I will keep a list and follow up with more info soon. Note that because of size & space, everything must be fully acoustic, and no larger than a trio. if you have questions, please let me know.

3. We will also be putting together a series of live shows in October & November. I am working with some friends to secure some venues. If anyone is interested in helping to put together a benefit concert and is able to secure a venue, please let me know.

I thank you in advance for reading this and for your support of this annual benefit!
