Newsletter 5-31-10

Hey Everyone,

It’s been a few weeks since the last newsletter. Let’s catch up.

~

Thanks to everyone who came out to my birthday bash on May 15th at Buddie’s Tavern. It was a blast! Amazing sets from Dr. Void and the Death Machines, The Filthy 3 , and The Break Evens! And TBE even wrote a brand new birthday song for me, which was highly entertaining.

Speaking of highly entertaining, BlowUpRadio.com is back for another free concert at Buddie’s Tavern (277 Johnsons Lane, Parlin (Sayreville), NJ), this Saturday, for what is sure to be an exciting night of music. Scott Lurker, Happy Joe (featuring Joe Canzano), and the Trip Dogs, will all be performing, so come on out for local rock & roll at it’s finest!

Part of the reason there was no newsletter the last few weeks was my wife and I went on a vacation. During the vacation we stopped to see Shayne Miel. Shayne is who “This Album Kills Cancer” is a benefit for, to help with the costs of his stage IV lymphoma treatments. I am happy to report that while visiting him in the hospital on a treatment week, not only did he look good, but he had gotten some good news:

May 19: Progress Report

"…the really good news is that the cancer has not spread anywhere else in my body and it has shrunk by leaps and bounds in my head. Even the doctors were impressed at how well the brain chemo was working.”

Concert Picks Of The Week

~

Lazlo (BlowUpRadio.com)

BlowUpRadio.com's Free Concert Series at Buddie's Tavern (277 Johnsons Ln., Parlin/Sayreville, NJ) this Saturday should be an interesting night. Starting off with Scott Lurker (who I don't believe actually lurks). Followed by Happy Joe (the generally unhappy, but sarcastically entertaining, Joe Canzano's new band). Closing out the night is the Trip Dogs (little is known of this band except that Ed Melee is in it, so it should be both entertaining and insane).

~

Danny Coleman (Rock On Radio)

My concert pick this week is the open mic. at THE CELLAR @ HAMILTON MANOR in Yardville NJ. This week's featured artist is MIKE MATISA w/ Dino Colorocco. Other artists performing are Radio Fiction, Shaun Ruymen, Paul Schober, Fast Ant., and many more...ROCK ON!

Start Time: Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 9:00pm
End Time: Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 12:30am
Location: The Cellar Lounge
Street: 30 route 156
City/Town: Yardville, NJ

PISSED OFF!

Today (Monday May 31st) is Memorial Day.

It’s not about barbeques.

It’s not about going to the shore.

It’s not about sales at the mall.

It’s about remembering those that have served our country to protect our freedom to barbeque, go to the shore, buy what we want, and so much more.

Try to remember that today.

------------------------------

That's all for this week folks.

Peace,
Lazlo
