I’m still basking in the afterglow of the success of THIS CONCERT KILLS CANCER this past Saturday.
Thanks to everyone who came out we raised $900 for Shayne Miel to help with his medical bills as a result of cancer treatments.
Shayne thanks you all. He is literally amazed at the outpouring the music community has given him.
Just today he started a five week process of radiation treatments, and he’s still managing to remain upbeat and joke about the situation.
You can read all about it on his blog:
I would like to thank all of the performers:
The Wag, Greg D, Joshua Van Ness, Jonathan Andrew, Matt Colligan, Jeannie O'Neil & Thomas Martin, Jim Testa, Julian Peterson, Christian Beach, Joe Canzano, Pete Jager, Tony Tedesco, Montagna & The Mouth To Mouth, The Break Evens, J Orellana, Scruff, Jeff Schroeck, Zigman Bird, and surprise sets (even to me) by Ed Melee, and Mike Grau.
I also want to thank
Jim Testa and Jeff Raspe for co-MCing the night with me.
Scruff for not only helping put this benefit together and working the door, but also for putting together another benefit concert that happened a few weeks before.
Jay, and Wayne for running sound, along with Mike, Karen, and all the wonderful people at Buddie’s Tavern.
OK, the music is starting to play telling me my time is up, so if somehow I forgot to thank you, THANKS!
And don‘t forget that you can still purchase “This Album Kills Cancer!
