BlowUpRadio.com is honored to be part of a big benefit show to save legendary rock club CBGB's on Thursday August 11th.

This is going to be a fun and important show.

In case you don't know what's going on with CBGB's, this article will get you up to speed on the fight to save the birthplace of punk.

And then on Saturday come down for a free show at SICA, when BlowUpRadio.com presents FolK You!
This month's show features:

Did I mention it's FREE, ALL AGES and there will be free copies of BlowUpRadio.com Live CD? Well now I did.

The show begins at 8pm. SICA is located at 20 Third Ave in Long Branch.

Peace,
Lazlo

About Funch

Funch is a New Jersey band influenced by the spirit of rock and roll as it was established in the 1950s by artists such as Little Richard and The Teenagers. Equal influence comes from the punk and metallic rock of the late 1970s and early 80s: early Ramones and Misfits, Black Sabbath, the Bad Brains, the Paul DiAnno era Iron Maiden, early GBH, early Motorhead...

The Finals Get Immortal

The Finals

From The Finals:

So… we know it’s been a long time coming and we’ve been promising an announcement about which label the band was going to sign with. After talking with a few labels we are very excited to say that The Finals are officially Immortal! That’s right; we have signed with Immortal Records out of California and are very grateful for the opportunity given to us. We’d like to thank everyone at Immortal...(full story)

Here are 3 reasons to go to CBGB's on Thursday. 1. To help in the fight to Save CBGB's 2. To witness one more show (or your first show) there before it's forced to close it's doors (if you're a pessimist and feel that all hope is lost) 3. (and the most important reason)...(more)

Wednesday, August 10 Nineteen years ago, in the Fall of 1986, I booked my first show at Maxwell's. The bill consisted of my old band The Love Pushers, a NYC band called the Alter Boys, and a popular New Brunswick trio called Spiral Jetty. (You might have heard of Spiral Jetty's bassist, by the way - Andy Gesner of Artist Amplification!) Spiral Jetty will...(more)

We are about a month away from the release of the long-awaited full length debut from Souls' Release. Lucky for us, we don't have to wait that long to catch the band again. On Friday, August 12, Souls Release returns for a night at Kenny's Castaways in NYC. The next night, Andrew Goulburn of New Brunswick's Meet Me In Montauk will take part in BlowUpRadio.com's monthly Folk You! series at SICA...(more)
