2. MESSAGE FROM LAZLO

Hey folks, this Wednesday is another BlowUpRadio.com Presents FOLK YOU! show happening at
Rodeo Ristra
230 Washington St, Hoboken, NJ (201)216-1550
*****THIS IS A FREE SHOW*****

Featuring
Hadrian Mordecai (of the Spectacle Experiment) ~ Multi-instrumentalist Hadrian Mordecai formed the spectacle experiment in early 2001 as a venture into the soundscapes forged by such artists as Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, Doves, and Failure. Normal employing lots of diverse loops and other gadgetry to produce his epic sound, here is a chance to here simple stripped down versions of songs from the album "just in time for nothing", that will prove that his songwriting is the heart of his talent.

Michelle Vecchione ~ One of the truly great blues voices to come out of the Garden State. Her vocals brings to mind classic blues and jazz greats while having a sound uniquely her own. You must see her in this solo acoustic performance to truly know what I mean.

Marc Maurizi (formerly of Cropduster, Broke Downs) ~ As the frontman of Cropduster (later known as Broke Downs), Marc wrote pop tunes with a twangy country sound. Cropduster's song, "Nothing's Gonna Change," won the 2000 Musician's Atlas Independent Music Award for "Best Rock Act." Come see this rare solo performance and find out where his music is headed.

Jim Testa ~ If you don't already know Jim Testa, then you don't get out into the Jersey music scene at all. For over 20 years he's been publishing Jersey Beat magazine, but what you may not know is he is also an accomplished singer/songwriter. Jim writes fun pop tunes with witty lyircs that can be about anything from Jean Shepherd to the 1957 Sci-fi flick, "the incredible shrinking man", to bad New York bands (we all know there are no bad bands in NJ :)

The fun begins at 9 sharp! Don't be late!

BlowUpRadio.com's Album of the Week is Darby Jones' "harmony and discord"
